Visionaries of Color Transforming the Art World
Glendale Library, Arts & Culture and Brand Library & Art Center present "Crossings" in collaboration with Munzón Gallery, a Long Beach-based gallery. Curated by Elizabeth Munzón and Mister Toledo, the exhibition invites viewers to explore the collective narrative of artists navigating their American identities while honoring their ancestral roots. Centered primarily on Los Angeles-based artists of Latin American descent, Crossings also includes voices from AANHPI, Middle Eastern and other immigrant communities. The exhibition reflects on the layered experiences of artists whose works are deeply informed by the environments they or their ancestors inhabit or were raised in. Check out these Glendale Library, Arts & Culture materials that intertwine themes of the exhibition: cultural preservation, adaptation, and belonging across time and place. On view October 11, 2025 – January 3rd, 2026 Opening Reception (Exhibiting artists will be in attendance): Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
