This is one of Christie's later novels, released in 1969. It's atmospheric and bizarre, as any good mystery that involves Hercule Poirot should be. In this case, he's teaming with the fictionalized novelist, Ariadne Oliver, to solve the murder of a loudmouth child at a Halloween party. It's a bit labored as it wraps up, but still enjoyable. The film, A Haunting in Venice, takes elements of the story, but it's a very different setting and narrative altogether.
